Our Beginning
Pragmatic Pottery began on March 18th, 2020. Both Abby and Mark had been dabbling in pottery as a hobby for a few years. After some discussion, Abby quit her job on a farm and began working on developing this website! From there, we expanded into a few local Savannah shops and galleries.
How We Make
Mark and Abby use a combination of throwing on a pottery wheel and hand building. Each piece is made with intention and care. Abby enjoys experimenting with glazes and form and will release small batch collections. Mark, on the other hand, will work hard to find a product and finish that makes him happy and then continues to make the pieces that fulfill his artist vision.
